Our Mission
Our mission is to improve the lives of animals and their families in Meade County by providing resources for pet welfare, including spaying and neutering, pet health, and responsible ownership. We offer financial assistance for low-income families, promote the well-being of stray and feral cats through TNR programs, and provide essential services like pet food and waste bag stations. Through partnerships with local organizations, we create a compassionate environment where pets are cared for and treated with dignity.

What We Do

Meade County Animal Shelter Support
PINS funds the spay or neuter of cats & dogs available for adoption at Meade County Animal Shelter.
If the pet is adopted & not fixed, a green voucher is given to the adopter for S/N.

Low Income Vet Assistance Voucher
A voucher is issued for a cat or dog to cover the FULL COST of a spay or neuter, exam & pain medication. For a health issue, pet must be fixed or schedule to be fixed during the visit for the health issue, unless vet determines it is unsafe to do so. Voucher pays up to $100 for health issues and owner pays the remainder. Not covered is the rabies shot, vaccinations and medications not part of the health issue. Household low income is validated by Meade County Community Action & limit 2 vouchers.

Cat & Dog Food is available to eligible households at the Meade County Clothes Closet with their Food Pantry Program at 2320-5 Bypass Rd, Brandenburg, KY (270) 422-2010.
Feral/Stray CATS TNR Program
A voucher is issued to Meade County, KY residents as an incentive to get their OUTDOOR FERAL/STRAY CATS fixed. The Voucher is good at vet clinics listed on voucher.
Cats will be ear tipped to show they are fixed. Caretaker pays for rabies shot and any additional care.
